World of Warcraft Makes Big Changes to Season 2 Turbo Boost

World of Warcraft gives more info about The War Within's Turbo Boost. This event helps players gear up quickly for the rest of Season 2. It runs from May 13 through the start of Season 3 with Patch 11.2. Players can find faster rewards from Mythic+ dungeons, extra loot from Delves, and more gear routes. Plus, Valorstones can move around for upgrades, and Augmentation Matrices can improve crafted gear.

The event's main focus is on Puzzling Cartel Chips. Changes make them better since their first reveal. Much like Cartel Dinar from Shadowlands or Bronze Bullions from Dragonflight, players earn Chips by a weekly quest beating four Liberation of Undermine bosses or by completing four Mythic+ dungeons. When first doing this quest, a player gets three chips, enough for gear. After that, they earn one chip per week, up to nine total, up from the limit of six.

A big draw is Hero gear being buyable with Chips, no prior steps needed. Mythic raid gear still asks players to beat the same Liberation of Undermine boss to buy it. Buying Mythic+ dungeon trinkets asks players to finish each Season 2 dungeon at Mythic 12 or up. Consultant Wrexxle by the Great Vault in Dornogal sells every Liberation of Undermine item but the Miniature Roulette Wheel, plus all trinkets from Mythic+ dungeons.

These tweaks have been welcomed by players. People like how Hero gear can now be purchased and the new access to Mythic+ dungeon trinkets. Still, players dislike the tough rules for buying Myth gear from vendors. Many hoped the gear boost would help finish the Mythic Liberation of Undermine raid. Fans now wait to see if Blizzard changes this setup before Season 2's end.
